My interest in film centers around Hollywood, so parts of this
article refer to life and success there. If your interests are
instead centered around New York, Miami, Toronto, or any other city, don't
despair! The advice here will generally work for any market.
Hollywood is one of the most competitive and difficult markets to enter.
Therefor, if you know how to make it in Hollywood, you can surely make
it elsewhere.
More generally, my advice may be applied to all of the programs at Full Sail.
Tactics in Film can be applied to Television, Gaming, Multimedia, Audio Recording,
and Show Production without much change. The main difference is that Film
tends to move much more rapidly and is more dynamic than any of the other fields
(with the possible exception of the music industry). So instead of having to
handle ten different tasks at once, you may have the luxury of only having
to address two or three at a time. All the better I say!
